Since the pandemic began, Asian communities have faced an alarmingly higher rate of hate, racism and xenophobia, and being labeled as “unclean” or as “viruses.” These types of racist and ignorant remarks have no place in the modern day and need to be addressed and stopped.
Community members stand against anti-Asian hate
More than 100 people attended a vigil Sunday outside the United Church of Christ in Claremont – to stand in solidarity with the Asain American Pacific Islander community and against hate – as hate crimes against the community have increased dramatically since the start of the pandemic.
