Many in the arts and entertainment industries have found creative ways to work while the effects of COVID-19 have left many unemployed and organizations at a loss for what to do to continue their work.
To help students who are facing financial challenges amid the COVID-19 crisis, the University has created a student emergency fund, with donations by the broader University of La Verne community, with a matching fund from an anonymous donor.
Eric Bishop, a University of La Verne alumnus, who also held several positions at La Verne – including associate dean of academic advising, journalism professor and Campus Times adviser – was recently appointed president of Ohlone Community College in Fremont, California. He starts July 6.
