The month of March is devoted to celebrating women and all their contributions throughout societies across the world. Here at the University of La Verne, from housing and residential life to the Center for Neurodiversity, Learning and Wellness, it is without question that the University is jam-packed with women hard at work adding to those contributions.
Niki Elliott, clinical professor and co-director of the Center for Neurodiversity, Learning and Wellness, and Sylvia Mac, associate professor of education and director of the Center for Learning Innovation, presented “All are Welcome: A Window into the Experiences of Students with Disabilities at ULV” Tuesday at the Quay Davis Executive Board Room.
University of La Verne staff and faculty introduced “An Artful Reframing,” a collaborative effort to reflect on the University's history and shine a light on previously underrepresented voices, before about 25 community members in the Campus Center Ballroom Monday, with 19 more who joined via Zoom.
The Wilson Library hosted the annual Book Day day event, a celebration of University of La Verne authors Tuesday via zoom. Roughly 30 community members attended to honor five faculty members who recently published books.
