With Thanksgiving around the corner, many families will gather to feast on the traditional foods. While the existence of the holiday has questionable origins for some, it is an undeniable American tradition.
When asked if they’d shop online or in person this holiday season, 12 out of 20 University of La Verne students said they’d do a hybrid of the two, five said they’d shop in person only, and three said they’d do it all online.
Food insecurity has been a concern among college students since before the COVID-19 pandemic. With the holiday season approaching, students at the University of La Verne have to look no further than what is already happening on campus.
Now that the excitement of Halloween season is over, it’s time to prepare for Thanksgiving – an arguably politically incorrect holiday that gets a mixed reception, at least among students at the University of La Verne.
