Inspired to give University of La Verne students a look at feminism and other diverse issues, senior Isela Griffith and junior Stacey Williams are directing two separate plays that will be performed later this month in the Cabaret Theatre as part of a directing studio class.
Michael Keck, actor, composer and publisher, came to the University of La Verne this week to conduct workshops and allow students to see him rehearse for “Voices in the Rain,” his solo performance set to debut at the Illusion Theatre in Minneapolis, Minn., this fall, prior to a national tour.
They are not the stereotypical farmer’s daughters from Ohio, in fact they are quite the opposite. Mary Anne Sellers, Melissa Dillon and Elizabeth Halterman are doing what most La Verne students would love to do: escaping from reality to fulfill their dreams.
