ULV communication students cleaned up at the California Intercollegiate Press Association contest for work produced during the 2002-2003 year. The University's newspaper, magazine, and radio and television stations all won the sweepstakes in their respective categories, making them each the most decorated publications and stations in the state in their respective categories.
The Campus Times was honored Saturday as the second best college newspaper and best college news Web site, based on the Times' overall content and production quality, by the Society of Professional Journalists' Inland Pro chapter, at its annual awards banquet in Ontario.
La Verne Magazine, Campus Times and LVTV's Eye on La Verne news show were all honored for excellence in two recent national awards competitions, which followed comprehensive critiques by professional journalists and journalism educators.

The University of La Verne has always excelled in providing students with a broad view in academia. As part of this commitment, the ULV Photography Department has introduced a petition to the Faculty Assembly to start a new minor in photography.
With the Communications Department inaugural semester in the newly-renovated Lemon House in the fall, the Campus Times, La Verne Magazine and KULV have selected three outstanding individuals to lead them.
