Chapman scored three goals in the second half Wednesday to hand the La Verne men’s soccer team a 3-1 loss.

Leopards speed past Banana Slugs to victory

After losing their season-opener Sept. 1 against Vanguard, the Leopards played a defensive first half and defeated the UC Santa Cruz Banana Slugs, 3-1, Friday at Ortmayer Stadium.

The women’s tennis team lost, 6-3, to Tufts University of Massachusetts March 19 at the Claremont Club. The Jumbos are tied with the Leopards at No. 17 in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Pool.

The women’s soccer team defeated UC Santa Cruz, 1-0, Saturday at Ortmayer Stadium to wrap up non-conference play.

The women’s volleyball team started its 2014 season with a 4-1 start, hoping to dominate the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference and take on regionals this season.

ULV salts Banana Slugs in 3 sets

Seeing them exhausted and unable to stand, senior middle blocker Kayla Cribbs ended UC Santa Cruz’s suffering with one final strike, bringing a 3-0 victory for the women’s volleyball team Friday night.

Volleyball muscles past opponents

The volleyball team had a very successful weekend at the Leopard Invitational, winning all four of their matches to bring their overall record to 14-7.

During the second half of the overtime period in the women’s soccer game against UC Santa Cruz on Sunday, sophomore midfielder Christine Camacho fights to keep possession against Santa Cruz’s freshman defender Amanda Cameron. Leopards slip to visiting Redlands
