The University of La Verne has a club on campus for those who want to be a leader for world peace but also be able to meet others to create a family bond. The Tikkun Olam International club allows everyone to express their beliefs openly without judgment.
Ian Lising, associate dean for the College of Arts and Sciences, reflected on the societal effects of spin doctoring as per his book published this year, “The Spin Doctrine: Communicating Belief, Truth and Fact,” during a talk Tuesday before students and faculty in the Howell Board Room.

In an attempt to make education a top priority for the city of Pomona, newly elected Mayor Norma Torres organized the Pomona City Cleanup to be held at 8 a.m. on April 29 at Ganesha Park.
