University of La Verne President Devorah Lieberman on Monday announced the resignation of Vice President for Strategic Enrollment Management Mary Aguayo, effective Jan. 3 next year.

Eric Bishop, a University of La Verne alumnus, who also held several positions at La Verne – including associate dean of academic advising, journalism professor and Campus Times adviser – was recently appointed president of Ohlone Community College in Fremont, California. He starts July 6.

It has been 15 long, spectacular years of coaching at the University of La Verne for Owen Wright, professor of physical education, who will retire this month. But for Wright, he will take with him fond memories of ULV when he moves to Oregon next month.

The Haven in Pomona showcased The Jins, All Hollows, and Rivers Ventura – all small bands coming together through their passion for playing indie rock music – on Sunday night before a full house. 

A three-run homer by senior pitcher Mark Jebbia sealed the deal for the La Verne Leopards, putting them up 10-1 in their second game of the weekend Saturday at Ben Hines Field.
