Voting must remain right

We have all seen it before, political campaigns on television, bumper stickers promoting the "best candidate" with a winning slogan. These are some of the elements which help voters make their decision when it becomes time to enter the voting booth.

Initiatives, candidates should be studied

With elections just around the corner (Nov. 3), it is necessary for the University of La Verne community to be well-informed of propositions and candidates that will ultimately influence and structure laws and society.

Voters determine fate of country

Voting should not be viewed as a burden, nor as something that we do to "follow our parents." It should be taken seriously, on an individual basis, with personal opinion, and with pride. After all, it is our right and privilege as a democratic nation to practice freedom and to help make the decisions of determining exactly who is in control.

A luminous black van rolled through the streets of La Verne with the license plate "MDN ROCK" signaling a wave of reaction from students who were hoping to pick up free Y-107 gear.

Voting is necessary

Turning 13 years old is an exciting time for youths because the word “teen” is added on to their age and one finally feels that he or she is officially a teenager.

It is not whether college students vote for the elephants or the donkeys which is a concern, but whether they vote at all.
