This academic year’s “What Matters to Me and Why” monthly lecture series kicked off Wednesday in the Ludwick Center Sacred Space with Kerri Love, the University’s scholarship and grants manager. 

Around 20 community members gathered May 7 in the Ludwick Center for this month’s  “What Matters to Me and Why” talk by Professor of Management Louise Kelly.

The first “What Matters to Me and Why” lecture of 2026 featured Marquisha Frost, associate vice president of inclusive excellence and mission integration, who began at the University in fall 2025. 

Provost Ken O’Donnell was this month’s speaker in the “What Matters to Me and Why” lecture series Nov. 13 in the Ludwick Center Sacred Space.

Jason Neidleman, professor of political science, kicked off the “What Matters to Me and Why” lecture series for the fall semester with his talk Sept. 4.

Michele Assael-Shafia, assistant professor of law at the University of La Verne, spoke April 17 in the Ludwick Center Sacred Space, closing out the University’s “What Matters to Me and Why” speaker series for semester with a powerful message.
