The Wilson Library hosted the annual Book Day day event, a celebration of University of La Verne authors Tuesday via zoom. Roughly 30 community members attended to honor five faculty members who recently published books.
University of La Verne’s Librarian Donna Bentley gave her last lecture sharing what impact she wants to leave on the campus and how she is spending her days now that she is retired on Tuesday via Webex with 36 people in attendance.
Students, staff and faculty can get technical assistance, class materials, online equipment and other resources to facilitate the remote semester through the University’s Learning Commons.
The La Verne community may be practicing social distancing, but that does not mean socializing has been put on hold. Students still have the opportunity to interact with each other and further their studies through La Verne’s virtual events.
A recent donation of artifacts to the Wilson Library Archives means University of La Verne students will have a greater pool of knowledge for in and outside of the classroom.
