Debate gains top honors at SDSU

In an exemplary premiere performance, the University of La Verne Speech and Debate Team traveled to San Diego State University on Oct. 14-16 to compete in the Aztec Invitational. In continuing with tradition, the team proved their excellence by capturing several top honors.

The Leopards faced the University of Redlands Bulldogs in their conference opener on Wednesday and lost in a tight match, 9-8. Brady Kocker (#8) attempts a shot on Redlands' Tim McNoney (#5), while the Leopards' Tom Merryman and Stephan Smith (#11) battle defensively.
