Surprised bystanders on Wednesday witnessed the inaugural performance of Points, the new performance group consisting of sophomore Stacey Williams, senior Eric Mulholland, alumna Alice Gasparian-Pietrzak and Mark Pietrzak, Dailey Theatre technical director. Combining music with improvisational movement, the group began at the south end of Miller Hall, concluding about 30 minutes later near the seal. For the first performance Pietrzak said, “we had a rough structure outlined, into which we tried to work movement and improvisation. D. Hill, adjunct professor of photography, showcased an eight minute video performance on racism against Black people titled “Remove the Noose by All Means Necessary,” followed by a question-and-answer session Saturday, hosted by Muzeo held via Zoom.
More than 400 men and women came for the Guerrilla Girls performance in Edmunds Ballroom at Pomona College Feb. 5, as the Girls threw bananas into the audience to kick off the show.
