The California Campus Opioid Safety Act requires public colleges and universities to offer educational and preventative information about opioid overdoses to students during orientation. And it requires campus health centers to distribute free dosages of the federally approved opioid overdose reversal medication Naloxone, commonly known as Narcan. 

The University of La Verne will offer a  January class  called Japan Study Tour, led by the department of art and art history. Students who participate will get the opportunity to travel to the cities of Kyoto and Tokyo.

Under a state law that took effect this week, waiters and bartenders serving alcoholic drinks must be trained by a so-called Responsible Beverage Service training provider and pass an Alcohol Beverage Control, or ABC exam.

The time for gender neutral passports is finally here. The Department of State announced that people can have a passport issued with an “X” gender marking, signifying an unspecified or other gender, starting April 11.
