Concert
As part of the music department’s “Celebrity Concert Series,” jazz singer and renowned cabaret artist Cory Jamison will perform at 8 p.m. tonight in Founders Auditorium.
General admission is $15 and $5 for students. Reed Gratz will give a preconcert lecture at 7 p.m. in Founders Room 21. There will also be a reception following the concert. For more information on Cory Jamison, visit www.coryjamison.com.
‘Rocky Horror’
In collaboration between the University of La Verne’s music and theater departments, “The Rocky Horror Show” will begin its run of six performances at 7:30 p.m., Oct. 30 in Dailey Theatre. There will be a special Halloween performance at midnight on Oct. 31. General admission is $10 and $5 for students. Reservations are required for the Halloween performance. Photo Exhibit
A new photography exhibit, “Liminal Significance,” by Rhona Shand, is on display in the Irene Carlson Gallery, on the ground floor of Miller Hall. The photographs will be on display until Nov. 21.
Movies
Opening in theaters today are “Scary Movie 3,” a science fiction/horror spoof starring Charlie Sheen, Macy Gray and Eddie Griffin; “Radio,” a drama starring Cuba Gooding Jr., Ed Harris and Debra Winger; and “Beyond Borders,” a romance and drama starring Angelina Jolie.
