Classical piano at recital series

Pianist Genevieve Feiwen Lee will be featured in the Pomona College Faculty Recital Series sponsored by the Pomona College Music Department at 8 p.m. Saturday in the Bridges Hall of Music.

Her repertoire will consist of music by Cage, Chopin, Kohn and Mozart.

Vocal artist Geetha Ramanathan Bennett will perform with the Carnatic Music Ensemble at 8 p.m. Oct. 6 in Founders Auditorium.

Jason DeMarte exhibit inspires

Jason DeMarte’s exhibition “Restoring Memory,” featuring black and white photography, will be displayed at the Irene Carlson Gallery until Oct. 15. The photography department will be open for tours of the gallery during Homecoming.

Aussie Poet in Claremont

Works by well-known Australian poet Les Murray will be featured in “Les Murray: An Evening with the Poet,” from 6:45 to 8 p.m. Oct. 2 at the Marian Miner Cook Athenaeum at Claremont McKenna College.

Murray is the author of such collections as “Fredy Neptune” and “Poems the Size of Photographs.”
