The Campus Activities Board hosted its very own Leochella on Wednesday at Citrus Lawn to roughly 40 students.
This event is named after the annual music festival Coachella.
Leochella gave students the opportunity to listen to live bands including David Spitzfaden Trio and the University of La Verne’s Student Cover Band.
“I decided to come to Leochella because it was an opportunity to hangout, listen to music and enjoy the fried Oreos,” Cindy Bui, sophomore kinesiology major, said.
The event has a photobooth and a limited giveaway of fanny packs, mini fans and hand sanitizer. Students also were able to enter a raffle to win a Nintendo Switch Lite with an Animal Crossing video game and a Lavernepalooza Pit Ticket.
CAB’s Leochella offered food and treats such as Tostilocos, loaded ramen noodles and fried Oreos.
Sophomore criminology major and CAB Music Chair Justin Castañeda shared the vision of this event and how important it was for an event like Leochella to take place after not having one in so long.
“This was my last CAB event of the year and I feel very satisfied and filled with emotion on how this event turned out,” Castaneda said. “It’s really amazing to see ULV students enjoying the night vibe with wonderful live music, free food, and creating long lasting memories with others.”
