Soul Food, Jazz Dinner

The annual Soul Food Dinner which is part of the celebration of Black History Month will be held Feb. 23 at 4:45 p.m. in Davenport Dining Hall. The event is sponsored by the Multicultural Student Affairs Department.

‘Lyrics of Blackness’

An evening of poetry, improvisations, skits and fun, featuring the prose of legendary performers such as Billie Holiday and poets such as Langston Hughes, is another in a series of Black History Month activities presented by the Multicultural Student Affairs Department. This event will happen on Thursday, Feb. 25 at 7 p.m. at Lordsburg Coffee Roasters.

‘O.N.E.’ comes to stage

“Obstinate Nubian Essence” is a senior project by LaVelle Wilson. This mostly original stage play is designed to be a message for youth regarding the choices that must be made after high school. The piece is based primarily on reflections from Wilson’s life. The show runs Feb. 25-27 at the Cabaret Theatre. Each performance will begin at 7:30 p.m. and their is no charge to attend.

KULV gives away free tickets

KULV is giving away tickets to “Jim Gallucci and The Flower Power Band” concert on Feb.27. The promotion will run from Feb. 23-25. When you hear the touchtones, be the designated caller at ext 4777.
