ASF Minutes

Members of the University of La Verne’s Associated Student Federation (ASF) Forum met Wednesday, Nov. 3, at 9:10 a.m. in the West Dining Room for a general meeting.

The Forum made a resolution regarding the painting of the Rock and discussed the allocation of funds for the ULV Computer Society.

Rock Resolution

Following considerable discussion of the Rock resolution, ASF Forum members voted in favor of implementing a concrete-base system around the Rock.

The project, which will cost at least $600 (excluding labor and other costs), will be funded partly by the Forum. The remainder of the project’s funds will come from the Office of Student Affairs via Ruby Montaño-Cordova, associate dean. A total of $500 was allocated to this project by the Forum.

Money Allocation

Scott Kindell, a representative from the ULV Computer Society, requested that the Forum help fund students’ participation in the Comdex Computer Convention, which is scheduled for Nov. 15-19 in Las Vegas, Nev.

Forum members voted to allocate a maximum of $875 ($35 per student participant) toward this effort. The budget from which this amount will be taken has not been determined.
