‘What You Carry’

An exhibit by artist Sarah Meyer, “What You Carry: A Sabbatical Exhibition,” is open until June 1 at Kellogg University Art Gallery at Cal Poly Pomona. Meyer hiked and backpacked to seemingly forgotten places and observed the cultural stewardship of open spaces. Using only what she can carry, she provides an intimate window into the wild places that connect people to the natural world. Using diffused colors and the written form, the culmination is an interdisciplinary body of work that chronicles the plein air experience and poetically maps Meyer’s internal transformation as a designer. The Kellogg University Art Gallery is located at 3801 W. Temple Ave. Building 35A in Pomona. For information, visit cpp.edu/huntley-gallery
