Morgan Auditorium
The music department will host two concerts this week in Morgan Auditorium. The Guitar Ensemble class will perform at 7 p.m. Friday and the La Verne Symphony Orchestra is having a spring concert at 3 p.m. Saturday. Admission to both events is free.
Dance Concert
The kinesiology department’s dance classes will host their spring concert, “Kinesthesia 2023,” at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Campus Center Ballroom. The performance will feature original choreography by Adjunct Professor Stacey Strickland Jr., student choreography, and performances by the ULV Dance Team, the Sanctioned ULV step team and guest vocalists. Admission is free.
Senior Photo Exhibit
The Irene Carlson Gallery of Photography is hosting a senior thesis exhibition, “State of Mind,” with work by University of La Verne senior photography majors Nareg Agopian, Armida Carranza, Kaylie Ennis, Casi Martinez, Natalie Medrano and Litsy Tellez. The exhibition displays diverse methods such as cyanotypes, lumen prints, lift transfers and digital imagery to introduce viewers to the photographer’s personal worlds. “State of Mind” runs through Aug. 11.
The Glass House
Gang of Four will perform on Friday night along with Sextile and MEMO PST. Doors open at 7 p.m. and the show starts at 8 p.m. Admission is $40.
Magdalena Bay is performing on Saturday. Doors open at 7 p.m. and the game starts at 8 p.m. Admission is $32.

The Haven
S8NT ELEKTRIC, Zombie Loaf, John Boell Band and Raccoon Cartoons will perform at The Haven on Saturday. Show starts at 7 p.m. and admission is $15. The Haven is located at 296 W. Second Street in Pomona.
‘Queer Clay’
The American Museum of Ceramic Art’s second major exhibit in the “Making in Between” series, “Queeer Clay,” will feature artists’ intersectional work exploring common identity and cultural themes among the LGBTQ+ community. The exhibit is open until Dec. 30. AMOCA is located at 399 N. Garey Ave. in Pomona.
‘What You Carry’
An exhibit by artist Sarah Meyer, “What You Carry: A Sabbatical Exhibition,” is open until June 1 at Kellogg University Art Gallery at Cal Poly Pomona. Meyer hiked and backpacked to seemingly forgotten places and observed the cultural stewardship of open spaces. Using only what she can carry, she provides an intimate window into the wild places that connect people to the natural world. Using diffused colors and the written form, the culmination is an interdisciplinary body of work that chronicles the plein air experience and poetically maps Meyer’s internal transformation as a designer.
