Singer Tania Batson and pianist Catherine Miller will perform at 8 p.m. tonight in Founders Auditorium as part of the Fall Concert Series, sponsored by the ULV Department of Music. General admission is $5, student admission is free. For ticket information call ext. 4921 or visit www.ulv.edu/music.

“Observations,” a photography exhibit by photojournalist Matt McClain, is now on display in the until Oct. 11 in the Irene Carlson Gallery of Photography, located in the first floor of Miller Hall, and Admission is free

Hollywood Bowl

The Hollywood Bowl presents “Strike Up the Band… An American Celebration” at 8:30 p.m. tonight. Back by popular demand, the American Winds return to celebrate the music of America, featuring Tommy Lasorda narrating “Casey at the Bat.” The show concludes the Bowl season, and ends with a patriotic fireworks display. Ticket prices range from $10 to $70. For more information call (323) 850-2000.

Movies

Opening this week in movie theaters is the comedy, “The Banger Sisters” staring Goldie Hawn and Susan Sarandon as former rock groupies reunited after 20 years.
