Baseball to hold fall classic game

The ULV baseball team will be holding an exhibition game at 10 p.m. on Tuesday Nov. 26, on Ben Hines Field.

The event will mark the first annual Fall Classic. The event is being used as a fundraiser for the La Verne baseball team.

There will be concession stands, ULV apparel on sale, a 50/50 drawing and events between innings.

Golf Tourney

Nick’s Place will hold a golf tournament on Dec. 2 at Upland Hills golf course. It is $70 per person with a $25 deposit. It includes the use of a golf cart, sleeve of golf balls and lunch. There will be contests including skins, closest to the pin, and longest drive. There will be cash prizes for first and second place. The deadline to sign up is Dec. 4. Cram Jam

The student affairs staff will be serving breakfast from 8:30 p.m. from 10p.m. on Dec. 9. There is a fee of $1. For more information call Deb Gordon at extension 4251.

Winter Formal

The annual ULV Winter Formal will be held tonight at the Sheraton Suites of Fairplex in the Grand Ballroom. Tickets will be $20 at the door.

Leopards earn walk-off win over Chapman

A walk-off error gave the Leopards the win over the Chapman Panthers, 8-7, in their series opener April 24 at Ben Hines Field.
