Thalia Moore Concert

Soprano Thalia Moore will perform in a recital of “Devotion and Desire: Themes and Variations” hosted by the La Verne Symphony Orchestra at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday in the Morgan Auditorium. Pianist Austin Shu and guest artist Ayanna Lewis will also perform musical variations of love and passion.

The suggested donation is $20 for general admission and $10 for students and senior citizens

Japanese Ceramics 

The American Museum of Ceramic Art is now showcasing the “Togei: Contemporary Japanese Ceramics” exhibit. The exhibit highlights both ancient and modern designs of more than 80 ceramic pieces of sculptures, utensils, dining dishes and more.

The exhibition will be on view until May 30, 2027.

Sunburnt Fest

Lopez Urban Farm in Pomona will host a poetry and music festival called the “Sunburst Fest” that will also include a full vendor market, workshops, and a petting zoo along with poets and performers. The event will go from noon to 9 p.m. on Sept. 5.

Art Walk

This month’s Claremont Art Walk will have a “Pilgrims and Panthers” theme.

Artists from Pilgrim Place will show their multi-media paintings and crafts including paintings, ceramics and fabric art. There will also be musical performances.

The free event, which goes from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Sept. 5, will take place at the Claremont Packing House at 532 W. First St..
