Student Exhibition

The “Wow and Flutter” exhibit, sponsored by the art and art history departments, will showcase student pieces in the Harris Gallery until May 18.

‘Black and White’

“Black and White,” a photography exhibition by senior communications major Nanor Zinzalian and junior photography major Ashlyn Hulin, will be on display in the Ground Floor Gallery in Miller Hall until May 20.

Guitar Ensemble

The guitar ensemble, under the direction of Michael Ryan, will perform at 7:30 p.m. Friday in Morgan Auditorium.

Senior Recital

Senior music major Annie Johnson will perform in her senior recital 7:30 p.m. Saturday in Morgan Auditorium.

‘Best of La Verne’

Faculty, students and staff of the music department will perform in the annual “Best of La Verne” showcase 6 p.m. Sunday in Morgan Auditorium.

‘Framing Armenia’

The photo exhibition “Framing Armenia” by photographers Diana Markosian and Scout Tufankjian will be on display in the Carlson Gallery until May 26.

‘Once Upon a Time’

Top Billing Entertainment will host its fundraiser showcase “Once Upon a Time” 7 p.m. Saturday at the Bonita Center for the Arts in San Dimas. Tickets are $15 in advance and $18 at the door.  For tickets or more information visit

Exhibition highlights themes of mysticism, nostalgia

Themes of mysticism, distortion and nostalgia permeated throughout the show. The intention of the exhibition is to rouse participation, where attendants are encouraged to step out of themselves and into the art.
