‘Dissent’
The Carlson Gallery will present a collaborative project between photography and writing. Students from Sean Bernard’s Writing 307 class will write a written accompaniment to photographs by 22 alumni of the photography department. The exhibit will run through to Dec. 7. Gallery hours are 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Friday. The reception will be held Nov. 1 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
‘Monster Mash Spooktacular’
James Calhoun will conduct the ULV Chorale for its ‘Monster Mash Spooktacular.’ The show starts at 8 p.m. Tuesday in Morgan Auditorium. Admission is $5 for general admission and free for students.
Converge
Converge will perform at 7 p.m. Saturday at the Glass House in Pomona. Opening acts include Torche and Anti Christ Demon Core. Tickets are $15 in advance and $17 at the door. For more information visit theglasshouse.us.
Comedy in the Colony
Standup comedians will take the mic as part of the monthly comedy show “Comedy in the Arts Colony.” The first comedian takes stage at 8 p.m. Sunday at DBA 256 in downtown Pomona. Mikey McKernan will host the show. Admission is free and limited to those 21 and older.
Bodegas
Bodegas will perform as part of Skalloween Party with the Failures at 9 p.m. Saturday at Characters Bar in Pomona. The show is 21 and over, with tickets $5 at the door.
