Call for Artists
The College of Law in Ontario is looking for artists to display their work in its gallery space for an upcoming exhibit in May. The exhibit’s theme is “Travels on the West Coast.”
Artists may submit their work to curator Catalina Lopez at clopez4@laverne.edu with attachments of images or a digital portfolio by Saturday.
Carlson Gallery
Photography department faculty members will display various approaches, styles, equipment and procedures in a new exhibit called, “Capture and the Seamless Stream: The Seductive Illusion of the Decisive Moment.”
The exhibit opens Monday and runs through May 25 in the Carlson Gallery in Miller Hall
‘Articulation’
“Articulation: New Wall Works,” an exhibit of Keith Lord’s wood sculptures, will kick off with a reception and artist talk hosted by Professor of Mathematics Michael Frantz, at noon April 18 in the West Gallery in the Campus Center.
Sundays at the Morgan
Grace Xia Zhao, pianist and assistant professor of music, will present “All the Things You Are” at 6 p.m. April 15 in Morgan Auditorium as part of the Sundays at the Morgan series.
Admission is a $20 suggested donation and is free for all La Verne students.
‘Cabaret’
The theater department will present “Cabaret,” a play full of song and dance set in 1931 Berlin before Nazis’ rise to power.
Show times are 7:30 p.m. April 26, 27, 28, May 3, 4, 5 and 2 p.m. May 6 in Dailey Theater.
There is a suggested donation of $15 for general admission, $12 for staff and seniors and $8 for students.
