The University of La Verne has changed its children in the workplace policy, limiting ULV faculty parents as to how often their children can visit them on campus.

Assessment and possible elimination of some of the school’s smaller majors, and guaranteed admission for legacy students are among the more than 15 recommendations made recently by a University committee charged with “finding” $8 million in the school's nearly maxed-out budget.

College Connections was organized by the University of La Verne Honors program. A one-month program during January interterm, it is designed to inform more than 100 fourth and fifth graders in the Azusa Unified School District about college.

Alpha Chi, a National Honor Society with a chapter at the University of La Verne, had its induction ceremony at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday in the President’s Dining Room. There were 67 new members, 18 of whom attended.

When most people think of fundraisers, they think of bake sales, raffles and car washes, as well as the work that goes along with these activities. The University of La Verne Honors Club, however, is more likely to associate a fundraiser with enjoying a show for a few hours.

After a one-year hiatus, University of La Verne’s Latino based literary magazine La Vernacula has returned.
