As we await All Hallows’ Eve, the night dead souls are rumored to lurk the earth to mingle with witches and mortals alike, let us take a look at the spooky spirits said to roam the University of La Verne campus.

With graduation just months away, many University of La Verne students will be entering the tight job market of this state’s tough economy – where the unemployment rate is 12.4 percent, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics’ report released last month.

The recent construction related to the Building on Excellence Campaign has prompted the University to renovate one of the oldest and once picturesque structures, the Hanawalt House.

The University of La Verne changed its phone system over the summer due to complaints from different staff members. The University had the same system for the last 18 years. The new telephone system was installed during the last week of August right before fall semester started.

Homecoming at the University of La Verne should be new-and-improved this year as University Relations will also host annual alumni events, bringing together the University's past and present for events and activities that go through Saturday.

The University of La Verne Latino Alumni Association honored two alumni recently, with a Tardeada at the Sheraton Fairplex.
