La Verne’s football team successfully defeated the Claremont-Mudd-Scirpps Stags last Saturday and smothered NCAA Division III passing leader, John Shipp, in a 45-22 victory.

These four set the tone early for La Verne and the rest of the team followed, not missing a beat as La Verne rolled over Azusa Pacific University last Saturday, 47-7.
Football squad plans to take season one game at a time
