It is with some disgust that I noted the recent editorial on issues concerning a perceived lack of confidentiality at the Student Health Center.

Bridges, bridges and more bridges. Bob Dole and President Bill Clinton repeatedly emphasized the importance of building a bridge to the future, because "our nation is dependent upon it," as Clinton said in the Oct. 6 presidential debate.

One wore a red tie, the other's was blue. One said we were "better off," while the other said we should not have to "pinch pennies." One talked tax cuts while the other boasted of the Brady Bill.

While promising to build a "bridge to the 21st century," President Bill Clinton visited the Southland last Thursday, making a stop in Rancho Cucamonga to speak on education.

Candidate Bill Clinton has been successful in stealing Republican ideas while maligning conservatives as "mean-spirited" and hateful.

Fireworks exploded in the air and balloons descended from the sky to announce the end of an emotional and exciting Republican National Con­vention. Two University of La Verne students, Rob Strauss and Lori Cruz, had the chance to attend.
