The University of La Verne track and field team has jump started the year by taking an impressive 4-0 start concluding its victory on March 10. The victim this time was the host Whittier and Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) challenger Cal Lutheran.
The University of La Verne track and field team dealt with the wet storm on Saturday, Feb. 24 to receive final preparation for the start of the 2001 season at the Carl Rossi Relays at Claremont-Mudd-Scripps.
So far, four men from the University of La Verne track and field team have qualified. Next week, they will challenge approximately 670 athletes in the Chicago area. Everyone there will be gunning for the same honor: to become a national champion.
