Rather than dealing with billing issues that occurred last year, University of La Verne students are having to deal with the technical side of phone calls.

My first major purchase of the year was an answering machine. Though it did seem strange toiling with the silly thing, fussing with the rewinding and fast forwarding, waiting for the beeps and just finding space for another piece of technology in my dorm room, I made a promise in the name of American democracy.

The student body is the great sleeping giant on the University of La Verne campus. At one time, when the Associated Student Federation (ASF) Forum was first formed, students had a powerful voice by which student concerns could be projected to the administration.

University of La Verne residents no longer have the ability to dial most numbers outside of campus without a pin-code. This includes most numbers within the 909 or 818 area codes.

CampusLink is still demonstrating unsatisfactory service in the eyes of some the University of La Verne students.

Somebody has some explaining to do. Who? I wish I knew. I'm sure many on-campus students fighting with CampusLink would also like to know who is responsible for a phone company that has been plagued with problems.
