Swimming butterfly, senior Casey Heinen completed his ULV swimming career as a finalist in three events at the SCIAC swimming and diving finals in Cerritos on Feb. 16-18.

While the La Verne men and women’s swim teams have not been able to rack up a meet win in their first two match ups against Biola and Occidental, all they needed was a trip to Whittier to turn things around.

The University of La Verne men’s and women’s swim teams lost its home openers to the Biola Eagles on Nov. 18.

The Pomona-Pitzer Invitational in Claremont opened with a splash Saturday morning as the La Verne women’s swimming and diving team placed ninth while the men’s team placed 10th.

When it comes to athletes in the University of La Verne’s history, many athletes may come to mind. There are the well known ones such as former football and track standout Anthony Rice, but then there are the new comers that only few know and all need to hear.

Boring, plain-jane hair-dos have come and gone. Men and women alike are styling their hair to accent their individuality and they are doing it in big, eye-catching ways.
