University of La Verne President Devorah Lieberman was named President of the Year by the Association of College Unions International for her efforts and dedication to build and maintain positive campus community, the association announced last month.

To meet the needs of ADA students this semester ULV expanded its Services for Students with Disabilities Department by hiring a coordinator, Leo Barrera, and transforming the building previously occupied by the Literacy Center into the Disabled Student Services Department.
The University of La Verne has taken extra precautions toward earthquake preparedness in light of recent earthquakes in the Los Angeles County to prepare students and faculty in case of emergency.
