Alpha Delta, the University of La Verne chapter of Alpha Lambda Delta, had its first initiation ceremony recognizing students who have completed their first year of college with a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or higher. Qualifying students must also have full-time status.

With players and fans dubbing Saturday night's game as, "the real SCIAC championship," it was clearly a heartfelt loss when the University of La Verne football team was defeated by Redlands University, 22-21, at Ted Runner Stadium.
