Dragging into Tuesday night’s game against the Loyola Marymount University Lions, the University of La Verne Leopards men’s volleyball team was tried by the Lions and sentenced to a shut out game of 3-0 with Loyola winning, 15-9, 15-9, 15-9.
Friday night’s win against Vassar was nothing compared to the high impact volleyball game that La Verne played Wednesday night against George Mason that ended in a winner take all rally with the Patriots prevailing in five games, 16-13,13-15,15-9,12-15,10-15.
When asked about the University of La Verne men’s volleyball team’s performance against Loyola University of Chicago, head coach Don Flora summarized it as “sort of hot and cold.”
