Graduates dress to impress

As the spring 2026 semester draws to a close, seniors have to think about the incoming graduation to celebrate their accomplishment at the University of La Verne. However one of the questions they ask themselves in preparation for the ceremony is what do they wear under their gown. 

Ready to graduate? You better be ready to pay

In order to graduate from the University of La Verne, students must complete all of their course requirements – and pay a $140 fee, which does not cover the cost of the regalia package that a student chooses to purchase. 

Winter and spring grads will walk in May commencement

Despite the return of many on-campus activities and events this fall, no winter commencement will be held for those graduating in January 2022, University officials announced recently. 

University will hold in-person commencement event in June

University of La Verne officials announced late Wednesday that the University has shifted gears and is now planning to hold in-person graduation ceremonies in mid-to-late June at an off-campus venue to be determined. 

Commencement honors graduates’ achievements during the pandemic

The University of La Verne honored 2,337 graduating students from Spring 2020 and Winter 2021 in a series of virtual commencement ceremonies, and featured a speech from Dolores Huerta for the College of Arts and Sciences, delivered by her daughter Camila Chavez, on Jan. 30. 

January, winter term and commencement to be entirely online

January and winter term classes will be all online, and spring 2020 graduation, which had been postponed with the hope that graduates could return for a live event, will also be online in January 2021 as will the event for January 2021 graduates, President Devorah Lieberman announced this week by email.
