Computer literacy lacking

Last April, Data-Flex, a new on-line computer system, was installed in Student Accounts. The goal for having the new system was to allow departments all over campus to be able to communicate with each other via computer. Over the summer, the staff in Student Accounts received extensive training on the system. After several months, however, it has not been completely mastered. Therefore, service for students may not be anymore prompt now than it was before the computer system was installed.

Accounting goes on-line with new computers

To better accommodate the students of the University of La Verne, Student Accounts is continuing to implement a new on-line computer system that will eventually blend with all University computers, providing more a efficient service.

What price education?

So what does it take to get into a good college? Is it grades? Ambition? Community involve­ment? Contrary to popular belief, it's none of those things. In fact, it seems that all it takes to be admitted to a university these days is a desk­top computer.
