A dozen pairs of hands struck drums as eight youthful voices sang out sacred songs in a performance of Afro-Cuban music Monday night at Pomona College.
The University of La Verne Art Department will host the official opening of paintings by Cuban artists, at 6 p.m. Sept. 20, in the Arts and Communications Building lobby.
The month of January for University of La Verne students is a time for reposing and being able to focus on their classes, being that a student takes a maximum of five units. January is the time to start easing them back into school and a once-in-a lifetime opportunity to explore worlds not always known to them.
