The first of the biannual talks in the Fasnacht Lecture Series is just around the corner. On Nov. 7, Founders Auditorium will be filled with students, faculty, and staff.
AIDS Project Los Angeles (APLA) will host its 11th Annual AIDS Walk, to raise money to fight the disease, this Sunday, beginning in front of Paramount Studios on Melrose Avenue in Hollywood. The route is 10 kilometers long.
“We are joined together tonight in order to make a statement that we as faculty, staff and students and members of the La Verne community will not tolerate violence against anyone for any reason. We, at La Verne, want to let others know that we care about each other as members of the human race and that we appreciate the difference that diversity makes in a community and on campus.”
Students called into an area of faith development will experience a summer of service through a program that will benefit them both spiritually and scholastically.
