Track season reached its conclusion for many athletes at the 2006 Occidental invitational meet, which exhibited some of the best track and field athletes from across Southern California and the Los Angeles Area.

With the 2006 season coming to an end, the Claremont Classic kicked off on May 6 at the Burns Track and Field complex.

The 2006 Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference held its championship meets April 24-25 at Redlands. Many La Verne track and field athletes competed on day one of the preliminaries and day two of the final events.

On a damp, cold afternoon in Claremont, the University of La Verne men’s track team was able to hold their own and finish several events in the top of the standings.

The 10th annual University of La Verne Invitational was held March 25 at Ortmayer Stadium which brought together more than a dozen schools and several independent competitors. More than 20 events were offered and several La Verne track and field athletes represented with strong performances throughout the day.

In his 12 seasons at the helm of the University of La Verne track and field team, head coach Pat Widolff has seen many caliber teams grace the track and grass.
