Closing out its 2004 campaign in fine fashion, the University of La Verne football team led from start to finish, easily dominating Whittier College, 41-21, at Newman Field in Whittier.
After losing two straight games, the Leopard football team returned to the win column in a big way using a tough second-half defense en route to easily winning 35-15 over non-conference opponent Chapman University Saturday night at Chapman Stadium.
The University of La Verne football lost a late lead for the second week in a row, falling, 41-34, to Cal Lutheran Saturday at Mt. Clef Stadium in Thousand Oaks.
In a game that could have put the University of La Verne on top in the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference, the Leopards literally let the game slip from their hands as they fell, 37-31, to the defending SCIAC champions, University of Redlands, Saturday at Ortmayer Stadium.
