More than 40,000 people die in car accidents each year in the United States. Many of the deaths occur when it is raining or right after it has just rained.

This semester’s first cosmic bowling event took place Oct. 12 as one of the events for Homecoming. There were some changes to the event this year, including a change to the drinking policy.

More than 3.2 million car accidents were reported to police in 2004 in the United States. Yet many of the people who are involved in the car accidents do not know what to do after the accident occurs.

Steven Falls used to only get two-to-three hours of sleep each night. As a 21-year-old college student balancing school, work and a social life, getting a good night’s sleep was not a top priority.

Eighteen University of La Verne students were randomly selected to participate in an informal survey to determine what the average person would do when put in three dangerous situations: a sexual assault attempt, a carjacking and the witnessing of a car accident.

Cell phones are running rampart across America with more than 150 million users. Almost everyone has one and is not afraid to use it, no matter where it is. We have all been in the doctor’s office, movie theater, bank, elevator, restaurant, classroom and even job interviews with the oblivious, annoying cell phone user. Chances are that each of us has been the culprit.
