The 2006 Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference held its championship meets April 24-25 at Redlands. Many La Verne track and field athletes competed on day one of the preliminaries and day two of the final events.

In his 12 seasons at the helm of the University of La Verne track and field team, head coach Pat Widolff has seen many caliber teams grace the track and grass.

One of the best things about the location of the University of La Verne campus, aside from the small size and Mayberry-esque surroundings is its incredibly close proximity to the Pomona Fairplex.

The University of La Verne men’s and women’s track and field teams competed against Claremont-Mudd-Scripps, Pomona-Pitzer and Occidental on Saturday in Eagle Rock.
