For the second year in a row, the University of La Verne debate team is the top team in the Western Hemisphere, by placing in Worlds, an international competition.

In an event that will magnetize some of the best debating teams in the world, the intervarsity debate tournaments, which are to be held at Oxford University and Cambridge University Nov. 10-18. It provides the University of La Verne's debate team its first international competition of the year.

Debate gains top honors at SDSU

In an exemplary premiere performance, the University of La Verne Speech and Debate Team traveled to San Diego State University on Oct. 14-16 to compete in the Aztec Invitational. In continuing with tradition, the team proved their excellence by capturing several top honors.
