Providing support for culturally-based organizations, a place for clubs to meet and just a hang-out for students are the purposes of the Minority Resource Center.
Last year, the Minority Resource Center (MRC) was given a $2,000 grant to assist students needing books for classes. The grant given to MRC by the Golden State Minority Foundation was to be used to buy textbooks for students at ULV.
Three candidates are currently under consideration for the post of vice president of university relations at ULV. Nancy V. Loshkajian, John G. "Tom" Tomlinson and Clayton N. Pheasant are in the running to replace Dr. Biff Green, who left La Verne in April to become president of Friends University in Kansas. The Search Committee hopes to make the decision within a few weeks.
