It’s that time of the year again, the Christmas tree farm at Heritage Park in La Verne is as busy as ever after its opening last Friday.

Orange and yellow are scattered everywhere as pumpkins of every size sit on haystacks waiting to be chosen at the Heritage Foundation’s 15th annual pumpkin patch.

Despite its stucco finish and corporate logos, La Verne hasn’t always been a suburban paradise. Before the pavement and smog, row upon row of orange trees called her home; a heritage La Verne holds dear.

Dark green leaves with bright specks of orange fill the sky. Under the trees the weather is cool and everything is calm. For only five dollars you can pick your own oranges at Heritage Park.
