Three candidates compete for University Relations position

Three candidates are currently under consideration for the post of vice president of university relations at ULV. Nancy V. Loshkajian, John G. "Tom" Tomlinson and Clayton N. Pheasant are in the running to replace Dr. Biff Green, who left La Verne in April to become president of Friends University in Kansas. The Search Committee hopes to make the decision within a few weeks.

Education, sensitivity, catalyst to understanding sexual harassment

The issue of sexual harassment has emerged from the shadows and has become a hot topic of discussion in offices, classrooms and on the streets. The Clarence Thomas/ Anita Hill hearings have served as what one might call a national "teach-in" on sexual harassment. According to Oris Barber, director of human resources, this is also an issue of concern at the University of La Verne, which is not "immune."
